This is a Power Posture to help women practice Self-Mothering.


While women take care of children, elders, the sick, the community and their families, many of them find it difficult to take care of themselves.

True, with all their duties, most women find it difficult to find time for self-mothering. But that is just the surface problem. Beneath, lies a deeper emotional reason. We have been trained to place our selves last and to feel guilty for giving ourselves priority.

This exercise calls upon the sacred presence of  Trees to summon your Inner Warrior. This Power Self opens a sacred time and space, connecting you to the forces of the trees, the earth and the Universe for renewal and strength. It helps you to center yourself. Once you find your core strength and center, then you can call upon your Inner Mother to  embrace yourself and practice self-love.

Begin your Power Posture by standing with legs comfortably apart.

You can listen to the audio meditation as you adjust your posture.

Through ought your posture adjustment, see and feel yourself as a tall, sturdy tree.

You may want to download Maria Mar’s original Warrior Tree, Mother Tree art and print it as a visual aid.

Visualize your Hara line and feel your chakras spinning along this energy line.

  1. Adjust your stand until your weight is equally distributed between the two feet.

  2. Flex knees slightly, so that they are not locked. This helps in releasing and aligning the pelvis.

  3. Practice deep inhalation, allowing the air to travel all the way down to your belly. Release the air in a slow exhalation. The slower the exhalation, the deeper the relaxation.

  4. Roll your shoulders up and back in inhalation. Then drop them in exhalation. Do this several times, until they are relaxed.

  5. Release your lower spine by dropping your tail. Swing the pelvis back and forth slowly, until you find the center, where it is neither pushed forward not tugged in.

  6. Readjust your knees and feet again to make sure that your weight is well distributed.

  7. Return to Deep breathing for a while. Look at the tree art or visualize yourself as a tree.

  8. Release the upper spine by lifting the crown of your head upwards while slowly aligning your chin to be parallel to the floor. Feel the seven vertebrae in the back of your neck as they release any crunching and occupy more space.

  9. Stand relaxed, spine released, knees flexed and weight evenly distributed in both feet, and visualize an energy line (the Hara Line) that transverses your body. It shoots up from deep within the Earth core, runs through your spine and rises up towards the heavens. (The second illustration shows the Hara line.)

  10. Close your eyes and feel that energy shooting through you. Gently touch the points indicated here with your hands, one with the left, the next with the right hand, bringing the hands up and connecting each point with the previous one:

    1. Right hand-touch your crotch

    2. Left hand-touch your navel. Connect with the previous point.

    3. Right hand-touch the middle of your stomach. Connect with previous point.

    4. Left hand-touch the space between your breasts. Connect with the navel and then adjust the point in your middle stomach, until the line between the navel and the heart feels straight.

    5. Right hand-the tip of your nose.

    6. Left hand-between the eyes. Connect these points.

    7. Right hand-on the crown of your head. Connect this point with the previous one and then feel the entire line, from the earth through your crotch running up all the way to your crown.

  11. Now you are a tree. As you feel centered and in balance, begin to repeat the words in the Audio Meditation out loud, slowly. To speak like a tree, each work and sound is born in the stillness and silence and then released to the world as a delicious fruit. Remember to breath deeply as you talk.

Connected to the Universe, I am.

  1. Once you feel relaxed, calmed, centered, rooted and aligned, begin to raise your arms above you slowly and lovingly. You are shapeshifting from Warrior Tree to Mother Tree. Speak out the second part of the poem. Again, speak like a tree. As you speak, your branches go up until they are open to the sides, and then you slowly embrace yourself.

Now I open my branches.

Now I release my love

in a generous green embrace.

I love, accept and nurture myself.

I am Mother Tree, I am.

I am Mother.

I am.

  1. Feel your basic goodness. Feel the beauty of your Essence. Feel as perfect as a tree. Allow the green embrace of love to shower all over you. Smile from within.

  2. You may close the meditation there, proceed to journal writing or ask your Inner Child what it needs or want and then do it there or set a time aside to do it during the week.

Practice this Power Posture three times a week until you know it by heart. Then use it whenever you realize that you are neglecting yourself.

Emotions: The Fuel for the Law of Attraction

Hi, beautiful sisters,

Emotions are the fuel for the Law of Attraction.

What does this mean? Emotions are energy-in-motion in your energy system, your Human Energy Field. This is also known as the Energy Bodies, the Subtle Body or the Aura.

While this may sound esoteric, it is the essence of the Law of Attraction. We have from 7-10 Energy Bodies. These Energy Bodies are the templates that build your physical body. See them as a bridge that goes from your physical self into the Universal Field of Infinite Possibilities. The first Energy Body is a blue grid of energy lines called the Etheric Body. Here you are working with acupuncture and the meridians.

The second Energy Body is the Emotional Body. Here you are working with emotions and the creative energy, with passion. The Emotional Energy Body is fluid, like a rainbow cloud. The great thing about fluid Energy Bodies is that they are very malleable. They can shift easily. They can be dissolved, cleansed, re-textured, re-shaped, released or nurtured. You nurture emotions through giving them attention and holding the thought patterns associated with them. The difficult thing about emotions and the fluid Energy Bodies is that they are cumulative. In other words, like water, every drop adds to the other. If you accumulate toxic emotions, they can become very dense unless you dissolve them. Of course, this density can be a blessing. Feed gratitude and every drop forms an ocean of gratitude in your being!

The third Energy Body is the Mental Body, again, this is a yellowish grid-like template made by your thoughts.Take a minute to let this sink, sister. Your thoughts form a template that then shapes your body and your life. That’s deep, don’t you think? Thoughts are fed by emotions. They are also fed by repetition and attention. Feed them and those lines solidify until they become reality. That is why so many spiritual teachers throughout time have said ” You are your thoughts.”

Most Law of Attraction experts focus on this level. As you can see, however, the emotions are essential in forming and feeding your thoughts. But because emotions are linked to the Female Way of Knowing, or your Female Shield, they have been neglected until recently.

When a fluid emotion (energy-in-motion) penetrates the grid-like Mental Body or Ketheric Template, it becomes less “cloudy” and more “linear”. It’s becoming solid, sisters! Feed that emotionally charged thought with your attention, and it becomes completely solid! It manifests in your body as your body shape, weight, presence, personality, voice and words.

If your Emotional Body gets dense and charged with frustration, anger and resentment, and is not cleansed, the anger and other toxic emotions solidify into thought patterns that are charged with that emotional toxic fuel. You can find traces of this toxic emotions in a lock jaw, cold eyes, neck inflammation, lower back conditions and other physical conditions.

What do you think you are attracting with those emotionally charged thoughts? Remember that like attracts like. You will attract angry, frustrated, resentful people. But when we say that like attracts like, we need to consider that sometimes “like” actually means “opposite.” If this is confusing, remember the saying “opposites meet.”

You may be attracting people who seem to be opposite to you. For example, you may be a really caring person who hates injustice and being taken advantage of. Yet, you may be attracting opportunists who take advantage of you, or depressed people who you care for, but neither receive nor appreciate your care. Why are you attracting these people? Wouldn’t you attract other caretaking people? Not if you need to take care of others! In this case, you need those opportunistic, unappreciative people in order to continue the pattern of emotionally-charged habitual thoughts that you hold in your Energy Body.

Your Emotional Body is very powerful. Like the moon, it is magnetic. It will attract that which resonates with and supports your Primary Emotions (read habitual or stronger). It is also highly permeable, interactive and shifting. This means that it either attracts or repels, sucks-in or rejects other vibrations, and that it vibrates strongly and is mobile, creating motivation and passion and literally moving you.

If you are using your attention to feed fear, frustration, resentment and toxic anger, your heart will close to defend itself. If you place your attention in healing emotions, such as forgiveness, release, letting go, compassion, self-love, self-acceptance, joy, love, creativity and a desire to grow and be better, then your heart will open to allow the flow of the Law of Attraction.

Your emotions will fuel the thoughts that nurture your best potential and help you manifest your dream. These emotionally-charged thoughts, when sustain for a consistent period of time, will become patterns in your energy body. They will heal your old imprints. You will physically, emotionally and mentally change to attract the allies and resources to make your dream come true.

You are NOT the victim of your environment. You are a creatress. If your environment, your past or your fears are sabotaging your desire, you can shift that pattern. The emotions are the key to that shift.

Emotions can be released, they can be cleansed, they can be re-textured, they can be fed or starved. Here are a few things you can do. Let me know how they work for you.

  • Feed the emotions that attract what you desire: gratitude, joy, harmony, serenity and creative passion.
  • Starve the emotions that repel what you desire: hatred, frustration, impatience, resentment, and toxic anger.
  • Shift the anger you feel by cleansing it of blame, resentment and hatred toxins. Then you can use the pure energy of anger to move you into positive action.
  • Re-texture emotions such as envy, jealousy and feelings of insufficiency or abandonment. Re-shape them as you do with clay. See that what you envy is what you desire. This will transform the object of your envy into an inspirational model. See that your feelings of insufficiency are just your Little Orphan Self. Become a mother to that Inner Child. Let her know how good she is. By mothering yourself, you feed your self-love and self-esteem.

Now you begin to see how powerful the role of emotions is in the activation of the Law of Attraction. By feeding, starving, cleansing, re-texturing and releasing your emotions you can create the powerful alchemy that attracts what you desire into your life.
